The three (3) hour flight to Macau was excruciating.Thanks to an infant boy and his mother, everyone on board Flight 5J 362 was in for a treat.
Not only did Madonna and child delay our take off for more than half an hour, baby boy cried and screamed at the top of his lungs for the entire duration of the flight.
It was like being trapped in baby hell. As fate would have it, Raft3r was seated next to the crying rugrat.
The devil baby was like the Energizer bunny. He just won’t quit. Not once did he stop crying.
When we touched down, I immediately took my bag and headed to Immigration. A couple of minutes later, Raft3r heard the familiar cry. The kid was just behind me and still howling.
He just wouldn't let up. You got to admire the kid for his persistence, though.

Me and my friends who were all single at a time would really let our disgruntled feelings and annoyance show to parents of monster kids on the plane. Im lucky with my eldest who enjoyed travel by plane and trains so much. But maybe its karma my daughter can scream for the duration of a 4-hour flight non- stop. That's why we don't intent to go on a trip for more than 4 hours.Scary!

Spoken like a man who has not had kids! Having nieces and nephews are nowhere near! I was like you before I had mine. And then I had mine and all my sympathies go out to the child first and then the mother.
How young was the child? You do know that the change in pressure can cause pain to the ears (eardrums) of a child because they are very sensitive? Especially if a child has a cold, forget it! An airplane ride is a trip to hell and he/she will put the rest of passengers through a hellish ride=)
Once you have your little one, you will be more understanding:-)

Wag kang mag-alala. Pagpunta mo dito, hindi batang umaatungal ang kaiinisan mo sa eroplano...amoy ng ibang pasahero at kanilang pag gamit ng toilet. Word of advice: use the toilet before you board the airplane! :-)

i think the boy has behavioral problems. the mum at least take something like a personal dvd player where the little boy can watch his favourite show. that is what my friend did so that her kids wont get bored during the entire flight from Syd to Mnla (8 hrs).

Had the same experience when we were at the plane off to Cebu for our honeymoon. The kid behind me kept on crying. Everything suddenly went quiet then the next thing I knew,she started slapping my head with a piece of instruction guide from the plane. The mom didn't even stop her from doing it even if I kept on glaring at them. it happened for an hour...
