Devil Inside

Philippine politics is one ugly monster.

It is dirty, corrupt, and immoral.

Put an honest man in office and temptations of all sorts will eventually get to him.

I have high hopes for my country. But when our leaders are only after their own interests, our nation's progress takes the backseat.

When politicians talk about integrity, good governance, public accountability, transparency in office, Raft3r couldn't help but cringe.

Dress You Up

Since the beginning of the month, Raft3r started wearing barong to work.

I must say it was one of the better decisions I have made in my adult life.

For one, I don't need to think about (well, not that I do) what to wear for the day. Just put on the barong and I'm good to go.

Second, my new get-up has made me look mature and professional.

Third, it will be easy to get way with having job interviews on the side without anyone noticing since I am now always dressed to a T.

The Crying Game

This one's for the ladies.

If you have a choice and your husband abandons you, would you rather lose him to another woman or a man?

Wrong Impression

I refuse to have my hair colored.

I refuse to have my eyebrows shaped.

I refuse to take a hard long look at myself in the mirror.

I refuse to comb my hair.

I refuse to dress in style.

I refuse to work out.

Yet people still think I'm vain. Go figure.

Rhythm Of Love

It just dawned on me that if I am as committed to any relationship as I am with The Deadbeat Club, I would have been married by now.

Thank God this realization came way too late in the game.

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

Contentment.

Baby Got Back

Raft3r has a big butt.

Friends could easily attest to this.

A while back, our group got invited to check out a newly opened gym.

With their cardio equipments placed in one long row, all 13 of us - boys and girls - decided to try them out.

On both ends of the machines were huge mirrors.

A friend immediately noticed my behind sticking out from the crowd.

Everyone laughed.

I felt so embarrassed.

It was one image I will never forget.

I believe my best feature is the ability to make fun of myself.

What's My Age Again?

In 5 years time, Raft3r will be 40.

I only came to this realization during the annual company sponsored medical exam when the nurse made this fingering/poking action signifying that I have to undergo a prostate exam in about 1,825 days.

Ouch.
