Armed with photos showcasing her current medical condition and two (so far) failed attempts to flee the country, GMA is again grabbing headlines.

Being a flight risk and all, the former President's hope of going overseas for medical treatment has now become a national debate.

Like any typical Filipino, parties involved have resorted to name calling. In fact, GMA's camp tagged P-Noy as a spoiled brat.

Gloria's present predicament - by far - has more twists and turns than your usual telenovela.

TRO. Motion for Reconsideration. Arrest warrant.

No one really knows what would happen next.

But one thing is certain.

Although strapped in a wheelchair, Gloria would not take this sitting down.

Slap A Bitch

She did it again.

Just like the devil baby, GMA refuses to give up.

Gloria, everyone’s favorite politician, has filed her candidacy for the Lower House. Like a moth to a flame, our beloved President is holding on to power - any which way she can.

There are so many words to describe GMA and her acts. But it’s the Christmas Season.

We should be kind, even to Satan’s helpers.

Smack My Bitch Up

GMA strikes anew.

This time, a malicious internet article leaked about the Philippine President's alleged breast implants. Now, local papers are all over it.

So did she or didn’t she? That is the question.

One writer said we should not judge the President by actions she’s done almost twenty years ago – and Raft3r agrees with that.

But I believe we can always blame Gloria for her present actions that would affect us and the entire nation twenty years from now.

The Bitch Is Back

My dear President is at it again.

Gloria is soon heading to North American for an official visit. She sure loves to travel.

The Philippine President recently made headlines when one of her henchmen declared on national television that she would not be paying a visit to newly elected US President Barack Obama.

Apparently, Barack refused to answer Gloria’s phone calls on the day he won the election. Being true to form, GMA retaliated by not doing a courtesy call with the next leader of the free world.

Raft3r may not be a master in international relations. But I guess common decency is still widely practiced worldwide. One word: diplomacy.

There goes our so-called strong ties with the US.

On the side: News is Makati Mayor Binay is running for the top national post in 2010. Supporters named him the Pinoy Obama. Huh? Besides their skin tone, Raft3r couldn’t see any other similarity between the two.

Bitch

Needless to say, the Philippine President has been having a rough time.

A governor and close friend just called her a bitch, in front of a group of professionals. That doesn’t bode well with the image the President wants to project.

However, most feminist movements now consider the word “bitch” as empowering. 

Gone are the days when being tagged as such has a negative connotation. These days, bitches are viewed as women who are strong and successful.

Newly ousted House Speaker described the nation’s leader as ungrateful. Talk about burning bridges.

Not too long ago, a Cabinet Official named the President as evil. The source is the star witness in the ZTE deal who tears up in an instant, like one of our beloved local soap stars.

I think the term “evil” is too strong a word to use for such a diminutive female leader. Then again, big things come in small packages.

So whose side are you with, the Bitch or the Cry Baby?

We should not resort to name calling. It reflects poorly on how we are as a Nation.
