Crying Shame

After four long years, justice has been served. Yes, America can finally move on.

Give it a rest, people.

Janet Jackson has been exonerated and rightly so.

CBS, producer of the 2004 Super Bowl half time show, will not be fined for the Nipplegate Scandal.

US Court ruled that fleeting, isolated or unintended acts of nudity should not automatically be considered indecent.

This controversy has dragged on for so long that Janet's once stellar career is now on the brink of VH1's: Where Are They Now? status.

It's sad that an icon like Janet who has shattered numerous industry records and paved the way for artists like Beyonce, Rihanna, Aaliyah, and even Britney will forever be remembered for wardrobe malfunction.

You speak the truth. Janet should have never been dragged down by that controversy. While JT's career has been untouched, the woman who started it all, pioneered how pop music sounded and most of all looked took the fall.

I still believe what goes around comes around. Janet's vindication is the start of something big. She will never go down without a fight.

More power to this blog!

Radio has closed its doors to Janet since Nipplegate. This decision isn't going to change anything for as long as radio continues to remain cold to Miss Jackson.

Boo, radio programmers, boo!

justinlladoc, Well said. Karma2x lang yan. Hehe

ganns, Radio's stupid. Enough said.

That's the bad side in show business and other industries for that matter. If you do countless of good things, they hardly notice but one mistake for a microsecond is always magnified.

tsk. tsk. that's how shobiz works. tsk.

go Janet go! we are all behind you. ;) im sure she'll overcome this.

an incident beyond your control should not be held against you.

janet is a good singer. she still is, despite that Nipplegate scandal.

ayan kasi talaga ang mahirap pag super sikat, talagang ma-drag ang pangalan mo kahit saan, kahit ano.

sonnet's, It is an ungrateful business.

tina, Janet rocks! Her upcoming tour is selling more tickets than Madonna's! =)

salve, It was blown way out of proportion simply because of her race.

mishel, Will do. Thanks!

vannie, She was simply banned by radio and MTV after the incident. They stopped playing her songs.

liza, One thing I do know is this: you can never put a good woman down. Am I right?

o eto na ha :) lest it's not been repeated by many of you, sobrang outrageous tlaga how the reactions on janet has gone to after the...i can't even bear to call it a scandal. ang babaw and it's equally shallow of the people, the industry, to have treated it in that magnitude.

by the way, i hardly like JT as a performer. no offense pero he sings like a goat.

just typing aloud :)

Dude, no worries. Janet's made. No one can take that away from her.

Raft3r said...

pete, Yeah. You're right. But that doesn't justify what they did to her.
