Raft3r was in the Nation’s Capital over the weekend.
I have been there before and D.C. never disappoints. There is always something new to discover.
One of my favorite places to visit is Union Station. It’s unlike any other train terminals I have been to.
For this road trip, a long lost friend from high school picked me up from the hotel with his spanking brand new car.
I had four other training buddies tagging along, I suggested on taking the train instead.
But my friend insisted we drive there with his San Diego Dodge Charger. It’s a good thing Raft3r said yes. His car is off the hook.
Not only is the Dodge Charger a thing of beauty, it is also spacious. There were four people in the back and they were still seated comfortably. We were even throwing things at one another during the whole trip. It was fun.
The engine is fast and smooth. Raft3r thoroughly enjoyed the ride. It made our weekend getaway more exciting.
Washington D.C. was never the same again.

Washington D.C. always reminds me of a game we used to play in grade school using the fingers in one hand. All the answers are on each finger but when the final question comes, you have to answer: Nasa Washington D.C. Naaalala mo 'yon?
sonnet's, I don't recall ever playing that game. Damn. I missed a lot of good times back then. Hehe.
I don't remember the game very well either. When kuya comes back from Davao, I'll ask him to refresh my memory:)
sonnet's, Sige nga. I might have played it once tapos di ko na tanda siguro. Hehe
Yeah, DC's nice!
crab cakes, Yes. I must admit D.C. is mighty fine.
I, on the other hand, like NYC's Grand Central.
anonymous, I will check on that next week! Thanks.
dude, jan ako nakakita ng stretched hummer...asteeg!
dalera, Astig talaga d2!
Great. :-)I used to be one of the thousands of people passing through Grand Central for their daily commute. Just so you know, the place has mysteries of its own. I'm not sure whether it was PBS or National Geographic that aired a show about the seven secrets of the GCT. The Whispering Gallery (stone arches in front of Oyster Bar, lower level food court) is the most open secret. You definitely should give it a try and go whisper sweet nothings. I'll leave you to do further research.
Also, since it's summer, if you have time for gelato and hopefully there is a short line, try Grom (imported from Italy but opened two shops in NYC last year: Broadway Upper West Side/ Manhattan between Carmine and Bleecker). It's a bit pricey but then again it's not your ordinary ice cream. Ask for samplings before you make a final choice. :-)
anonymous, Thanks 4 the tip. I will be in NY in time for the US Open. Maybe we can run into each other then. Hehe
