The Price We Pay

With raising prices of gas and other basic commodities, folks are having a hard time budgeting their expenses. Raft3r is no exception.

I am going crazy with the ever changing fuel prices. These days, a P500 weekly gas allowance is simply not feasible.

Now more and more people are resorting to fast cash payday loans.

I don’t blame them. Times are hard. It doesn’t help that the US economy is on a downward spiral. Go Bush!

Indeed, a global financial crisis is upon us.

Prices are on the constant rise and salary increases seem to be a distant thing of the past.

The sudden emergence of cash loan centers is a strong indication of how weak the world economy is. At least, they offer convenience and a quick fix to monetary problems.

P500 weekly gas allowance? that is indeed insane.

i remember the times when gas per liter was only P18 per liter (the first time i had my own car), now, it's almost P50 /L. Mainam pa magcommute na lang.

Indeed!

500 gas allowance = 1 day na lang these day.

Or pwede rin yung 500 per week. Basta once a week mo lang gamitin yung car mo. Ahahahahahah!

Kakanerbios talaga ang lagay ng world economy ngayon. Tsktsktsk!

What! you mean I can't fly to places without paying a large sum of cash. great. Btw, you got P350 I can borrow? I need it to research how to replicate an Iron Man suit.

Your statement - "The sudden emergence of cash loan centers is a strong indication of how weak the world economy is." - is so true. But I doubt if the same goes for the Phils. coz whenever there are foreign artists coming here, people lavishly squander 5,000 to 18,000 just to get a good seat. Yon ba ang naghihirap?
