Raft3r was invited to a special screening of the prequel to The Da Vinci Code.
I am not a fan of the book. So I had very little expectations for Angels & Demons.
Armed with buttered popcorn and a large Coke, Raft3r set foot inside a movie house with a gorgeous chick in tow.
The whole incident reminded me of why I no longer enjoy going to the movies.
Raft3r was seated next to an extremely annoying bastard.
As if his date was deaf and/or blind, he kept telling her what the scene was about and what will unfold next.
I was impressed with his know it all attitude. But please shut your pie hole.
And that was just for starters…
Mr. Know It All had his mobile phone in full volume. So every time someone sent him an SMS, the whole theater knew. He answered a few calls, as well.
His phone wasn’t even that impressive. I wanted to shove my iPhone down his throat.
When the movie ended, he told his date: “Sabi ko sayo alam ko ang mangyayari, eh. (I told you I knew what was going to happen.)”
I planned to run him over, if I came across him in the parking lot.
Unfortunately, the guy and his date took the exit that headed straight to the public transport terminal.
Bummer.

again, like you, i never read any dan brown novels. in fact i don't like reading what everyone else (think harry potter and twilight and paulo coehlo and even tuesdays with morrie) is reading.

Also saw Angels and Demons. Didn't like it too. Mas ok ang book.
Re your inconsiderate seatmate, kakaasar nga pag ganun. Pero mas kawawa ang date nya. Imagine going on a date with someone like that. Sarap iwanan!
Btw, I saw a movie in G4 once and this saucy looking girl had her bare feet (!) propped up behind my friend's seat. Feel na feel pa nya pagkataas ng paa nya. Kakahighblood! I pointed out loudly na hello, ang inconsiderate ng paa nya hehe.
haha. dami ko na experience sa ganyan. ginagawa ko i give him/her dagger looks kahit madilim. pag lights on at gusto nila dumaan (i slouch on my seat when i watch movies) i won't give way. manigas sila. :D

I read Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons although I haven't watched its movie versions. I don't know why I wasn't compelled to watch it.
There are moviegoers who are like that -- unaware that there are also etiquette to observe in the moviehouse.
At buti na lang nagco-commute lang iyon kundi baka naka-hit and run ka na. nyahaha

Today, when I was heading, I was in the circulation of a roundabout already and this guy in his rotten Peugeot decided to cut me off. I did not slow down so it meant he had to wait but no! He rammed on. I braked at the very last minute and beeped him to death. The man was a complete zombie! If I was sure he had insurance,I would have rammed his rotten car!
Back to the topic, you should have told one of those people in charge. I thought everyone is supposed to turn their cellphones off or at least put them on silent mode when inside the cinema?
But what is more interesting is, who was the gorgeous chick you had in tow? Hehehe

I had a similar experience before. Grupo sila, tapos tawa sila nang tawa ng malakas. Labo nga eh, horror/suspense-thriller yung film, tapos tawanan sila nang tawanan. Adik.

the book's so much better than the movie... at nakakaburaot nga yung mga ganung katabi... kung ako yun, lumipat nako.. unless reserved seating... in which case uupakan ko yung katabi ko.. hehe

omg! i totally hate that guy! i hate people like that. however, if someone annoys me, i'm not afraid to say "SSSHHHH!!" (with matching evil looks) and/or say "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Yes, I've done that a couple of times to people who annoy me in the movies. Even those dumb parents who take their kids to rated R films, and the kids start to cry or talk loudly or whatever, and I tell them, "shut that kid up!"

Kaka-start pa lang super na sa side comments, parang siya lang nakabasa ng libro.
For 10 minutes nakaya kong tiisin, tapos sinabihan ko na to lower down her voice. Nakinig naman. Buti na lang kundi...
